Jonathan has experience in judicial review, civil fraud, contractual disputes, employment, mental health, commercial, land, building management, equality/discrimination matters and interlocutory applications.
On the criminal side, he has handled public order offences, sexual offences, child abuse and white-collar crimes. He appears regularly as a sole advocate in the Court of First Instance, District Court and Magistrates’ Courts.
Jonathan has advised a number of Non-Governmental Organisations on human rights issues, criminal procedure and immigration law. Having participated in various mooting competitions during his studies, he continues to serve as a coach and sit as a judge in mock trial and mooting competitions.
Jonathan is capable of delivering oral and written advocacy in English and Chinese and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.

Other Professional Experience

Prior to joining the Bar, Jonathan had accumulated over 5 years of teaching experience, first at a local secondary school (as a Teaching Fellow of Teach For Hong Kong), then at a number of residential childcare homes (as a part-time English teacher).
