Jonathan joined Chambers in 2023.

Frequently instructed for administrative and public law cases, Jonathan practises in all areas of civil work. He has experience in civil fraud, contractual disputes, employment, mental health, commercial, land (including boundary disputes and nuisance), building management, trusts and probate, winding-up and bankruptcy proceedings, personal injuries, and matrimonial matters.

Jonathan appears regularly as a sole advocate in the Court of First Instance, District Court, and Magistrates’ Courts. He also has experience handling various regulatory matters, such as applications for liquor licences and disciplinary proceedings.

Jonathan has advised several Non-Governmental Organisations on human rights issues, criminal procedure, and immigration law. He is capable of delivering oral and written advocacy in English and Chinese. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.

Other Professional Experience

Prior to joining the Bar, Jonathan had accumulated over 5 years of teaching experience, first at a local secondary school (as a Teaching Fellow of Teach For Hong Kong), then at a number of residential childcare homes (as a part-time English teacher).
